This painting identfies the site of the Rose pharmacy. The wall on the left is the Heilige Geist Kirche. The title of the painting is "Die Rosesche Apotheke, gegenüber der Heiligen-Geist-Kirche in Berlin zu Anfang des vorigen Jahrhunderts" ("The Rose Pharmacy, across from the Holy Ghost Church, in Berlin at the beginning of the previous century" [i.e., 1800].) The pharmacy was commissioned originally in 1701. The view is northeast, along the present St. Wolfgang Straße (Fritz Ferchl, Von Libau bis Liebig Chemikerköpfe und -Laboratorien, Mittenwald, 1930.)
